Board Info

The Parks and Recreation Board is made up of seven members from the community appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The purpose of the Board is to set policies and advise the City Council on needed parks and recreation programs; oversee the city recreation programs and park areas; and plan, acquire and develop recreation facilities, parks and open space areas to meet the future needs.

The Park Board is responsible for recommending plans for developing the park and recreation system, and for informing the community of the park system and recreational programs.
