How to Register for Programs
All registrations need to be made at the Parks and Recreation
office. There are 3 easy sign-up options for your convenience.
1. Walk in and register at City Hall during normal business
hours.
2. Place your registration form
and payment in a sealed envelope and put it in the drop
box by the front door of the Parks
Deptartment office or
in the drop box at City Hall.
3. Mail your registration form
and payment to:
Clear Lake Parks and Recreation
P.O. Box

Clear Lake,

Registrations will be processed by random selection daily.
Unless we inform you otherwise, you are registered for
your first choice. Checks are payable to: City of Clear
Lake. All fees must be paid in full. Registrations with
incorrect fees will be notified by telephone and held from
processing until the correct fee is paid. Forms are available
at the Parks and Recreation office, or you can download a form
from our web page.
REGISTRATION
Registrations will be accepted in any of the three ways listed.
Phone registrations are not accepted for any programs.
Forms are available at the Parks and Recreation office,
City Hall and online. Some programs have
a minimum or maximum number of participants. This is done
to ensure the quality of our activities. All programs are filled
on a first come/first-served basis, so please register early.
Late registrations may be accepted after a class or activity
has started, if space is available. Fees will not be prorated.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds will only be given up to the first day of the program.
After that, no refunds will be given unless the program
is canceled/postponed or if the enrollee is unable to participate
because of unforeseen medical reasons. The refund will
then be prorated based on the number of classes attended.
If more than 50% of the program has been completed, no refund
will be issued.
CANCELLATIONS
Programs that are canceled or postponed due to weather conditions,
equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances beyond
our control will be announced as soon as possible. Parents
are asked to pick up their children from the program site as
quickly as possible if adverse weather conditions occur.
Unless otherwise announced, there will be no rescheduling of
youth programs or other special events. It is our policy that
if it is raining at the time a program is to begin, the program
will not be held.
FEE PAYMENT/RETURNED CHECKS
All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Fees due
may be paid in cash or check. Checks should be made
payable to City of Clear Lake. There
is a $25 fee for any returned check. If a check is returned,
both the amount of the check and the returned check charge must
be covered in cash.
SCHOOL COOPERATION
The City of Clear Lake would like to thank the Clear Lake
Community School District for allowing free use of the school facilities.
Without their generous cooperation, many low-cost recreational programs
would not be available.
ACCIDENTS/INSURANCE
By their very nature, many parks and recreation programs involve
body contact, substantial physical exertion, emotional
stress, and/or use of equipment which represent a certain
risk to users. It is recommended that you consult with your
physician prior to participating in Parks and Recreation activities.
Registrants in any programs, or users of any park and recreation
facility, assume responsibility for any risk, implicit or direct,
by participation in said activity or facility. You are further advised
that the City of Clear Lake does not provide medical insurance
covering injuries to participants.
VOLUNTEERS
Thank you to the numerous volunteers (parents, grandparents,
uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and friends) who help
make the programs successful. Without the many volunteers
who give so generously of their time, many of our programs
would not be offered. The Parks and Recreation Department
appreciates everything you do!
