Public Docks

The Clear Lake Parks & Recreation Department manages the public docks located off of the public accesses within the city limits of Clear Lake. The docks are public, but privately maintained and constructed. Community residents and visitors are welcome to use the docks for fishing, swimming, etc. However, the boats and hoists are private property. We maintain a waiting list for persons whom would like to eventually be placed on a public dock. After being assigned to a dock, the users are responsible for all costs incurred with the dock such as installing and taking out the dock, repairs to the docks and maintaining the docks and accesses throughout the boating season. Users pay a fee to the City of Clear Lake on an annual basis for the dock space and are required to provide proof of liability insurance coverage for the dock.

The public accesses are located at on each approach to the lake from 5th Avenue South to 20th Avenue South, North Lakeview Drive, 5th Avenue North, Beach Drive, Mars Hills Drive, and N. 9th St.
