RENTALS


LAKEVIEW ROOM RENTALS

The Lakeview Community Center, on the lakeside of the Bandshell, offers a nice setting for a meeting or a party and is available to rent. This room is air-conditioned so is available year round. The shelter may also be reserved by contacting the Park and Recreation Department.


City Park/Bandshell Stage Rentals

This large 3.08-acre park is located on the lakefront, between Main Avenue and 1st Avenue North. It is heavily utilized due to its location and point of focus for the community. Numerous shade trees provide for pleasant picnicking while enjoying a band concert or active play by children on the playground equipment. Amenities include a bandshell, picnic shelter, restrooms, drinking fountain, climbing house, environmental play area, swings, slides, merry-go-round, teeter-totter, picnic tables, and benches. The Lakeview Community Center, on the lakeside of the Band shell, offers a nice setting for a meeting or a party and is available to rent. This room is air-conditioned so is available year round. The shelter may also be reserved by contacting the Park and Recreation Department.

City Park and/or the Bandshell Stage may be reserved for your next special event whether it be a festival or a wedding or a company picnic.  Just complete the Facility Request Form and submit it to the Parks and Recreation Department for consideration of approval by the Parks and Recreation Board.  To rent the Lakeview Community Room please see the Lakeview Room rental information above.

PARK SHELTERS RENTALS

There are five shelters located in various city parks that can be reserved on a first come, first served basis.  The shelters are located in Pine Tree Park, MacGowan Park, Armour Pugh Park, Tourist Park and City Park.  All of the shelters are open-sided shelters and include picnic tables and restrooms.  There is electricity at Pine Tree, MacGowan, Tourist Park and City Park.  Shelters may be reserved by calling the Parks & Rec Department at (641) 357-7010.  We begin taking shelter reservations on the first business day after January 1st of each year.  There is no charge for reserving a shelter.  Shelters are to be cleaned-up with all garbage placed in the receptacles provided.


Pine Tree Park

Pine Tree Park is located on South Shore Drive in a residential area. The shelter has 6 large picnic tables, electrical service, 2 grills, and restrooms. The park has a basketball hoop, a sand volleyball court, a ball diamond, and a large open space. There are several pieces of playground equipment including a slide, swing set, merry go round, and climbing apparatus.  Additional picnic tables are scattered throughout the park.

MacGowan Park

MacGowan Park, located on 10th Avenue North a block north of Highway 18, has many trees providing shade. The shelter has 4 picnic tables, electrical service, 3 grills, and restrooms. The park has a swing set, a tire cluster, small whirl, and new playground equipment was installed this spring. This shelter is handicap accessible. There are additional picnic tables scattered throughout the park.

Armour Pugh Park

Armour Pugh Park is located just south of Highway 18 west of All Vets Golf Course.  The shelter has 4 picnic tables, 1 grill, and restrooms. There are several pieces of playground equipment including a swing set, merry go round, slide and a wood playground structure. This shelter is handicap accessible.

City Park

City Park is located in the downtown area of Clear Lake. The shelter has 4 picnic tables and electrical service. There are several pieces of playground equipment in the park. The park does have lake access and the restrooms are located in the Bandshell. There are several additional picnic tables scattered throughout the park.

Tourist Park

This 4.3 acre park is located along South Shore Drive. There is a new shleter house that was donated and built by the Clear Lake Noon Lions Club in June 2004. It has 4 eight-foot picnic tables, electrical service, restrooms and 2 grills. The park offers swings, animal bouncers, wood climbing structure, 2 sand volley ball courts, sheltered picnic tables, and regular picnic tables. A boat-launching ramp is available cross the street from the park.

Portable Volleyball Kits

Portable volleyball kits are available by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department.  Please call in advance to reserve a set.  We do require a $25.00 deposit.
