Lakeview Community Center Rental

Lakeview Room

The Lakeview Community Center, located in downtown City Park enjoys beautiful lake views.  This room is stationed on the back side of the Bandshell, and offers a nice setting for a meeting or a party and is available to rent. The room is available year round and is air-conditioned or heated.   Room capacity without tables is 135.  The room will accommodate approx. 64-80 at tables.

Currently we are taking reservations for this calendar year; we begin taking reservations for the next calendar year on the first business day in December.  See the below rental form for details and additional rental procedures. 
           

City Park/Bandshell Stage Rentals

Bandshell This large 3.08-acre park is located on the lakefront, between Main Avenue and 1st Avenue North. It is heavily utilized due to its location and point of focus for the community. Numerous shade trees provide for pleasant picnicking while enjoying a band concert or active play by children on the playground equipment. Amenities include a bandshell, picnic shelter/Gazebo, restrooms, drinking fountain, climbing house, environmental play area, swings, slides, merry-go-round, teeter-totter, picnic tables, and benches.

 

City Park and/or the Bandshell Stage may be reserved for your next special event whether it be a festival or a wedding or a company picnic.  Just complete the Special Events Package and submit it to the Parks and Recreation Department for consideration of approval by the Parks and Recreation Board.

PARK SHELTERS RENTALS

PARK HOURS 5 AM - 11 PM

                                  
Shelters may be reserved by calling (641) 357-5267 or (641) 357-7010 or email to clcity@cltel.net.  We begin taking shelter reservations for the coming year on the first business day in December. 

RESTROOM KEY DEPOSIT:  There is no charge for reserving a shelter; however a completed   Shelter House Rental Agreement and $25 deposit are required at time of restroom key pick-up for 4 of our parks.  Restrooms are locked and a key is issued to the individual reserving the shelters at Pine Tree, Tourist, MacGowan or Armour Pugh Parks.  Restroom keys are issued from City Hall during normal business hours.  Shelters are to be cleaned-up with all garbage placed in the receptacles provided. 

PARK RESERVATIONS WITH GREATER THAN 50 ATTENDEES:  If your event will have greater than 50 attendees, advance Parks & Recreation Board approval is needed.  Submit a Shelter House Rental Agreement and $200 deposit well in advance of reservation to allow time for approval  The P&R Board meets the 4th Wednesday of each month.

                                                                                                                              

Pine Tree Park

Pine Tree Park Shelter Pine Tree Park is located on South Shore Drive in a residential area. The shelter has 6 extra large picnic tables (can easily host over 50 people), electrical service, 2 grills, and restrooms. The park has a basketball hoop, a sand volleyball court, a ball diamond, large open spaces and loads of shade. There are two playground areas - one is especially suited for younger children.  Additional picnic tables are scattered throughout the park.

MacGowan Park

MacGowan Park shelter MacGowan Park, located on 10th Avenue North a block north of Highway 18, has many trees providing shade. The shelter has several picnic tables, electrical service, 3 grills, and restrooms. The park has playground equipment, plus a swing set, a tire cluster, and small whirl. This shelter is handicap accessible and has flat sidewalk access between parking and shelter. There are additional picnic tables located throughout the park.  THIS PARK HAS HORSESHOE PITS.  Bring your own horseshoes or advance rental available through Parks and Recreation with a deposit required.

Armour Pugh Park

Armour Pugh Memorial Park Shelter Armour Pugh Park is located just south of Highway 18 West near Veterans Memorial Golf Club.  The shelter has several picnic tables, 1 grill, and restrooms. There are several pieces of playground equipment including a swing set, merry go round, slide and a wood playground structure. This shelter is handicap accessible.

City Park Gazebo

City Park Shelter City Park is located lakeside in the downtown area of Clear Lake. The gazebo has 4 picnic tables and electrical service.  The gazebo is central to the park and near  playground equipment. The park does have lake access and the restrooms are located in the Bandshell. There are several additional picnic tables and benches located throughout the park.

Tourist Park

Tourist Park Shelter This 4.3 acre park is located along South Shore Drive. There is a shelter house that was donated and built by the Clear Lake Noon Lions Club in June 2004. It has 4 eight-foot picnic tables, electrical service, restrooms and 2 grills. The park offers newer playground equipment, 2 sand volleyball courts, and picnic tables. A boat-launching ramp is available across the street from the park.  Boat Trailer parking is available at this park.

Equipment Rentals

To reserve any of the Parks & Recreation Department equipment below, email clpr@cltel.net or call Parks & Recreation at 357-7010.  Advance reservations are needed. 

VOLLEYBALL:  Portable volleyball kits (volleyball and net) with $25 deposit. 

HORSESHOES:  2 sets available for rental at $25/set deposit.

DODGEBALLS:  $10/ball deposit.

SNOWSHOES:  2 Adult sets and 2 child sets available with $50/set deposit.
